In the large crimping machine, the aluminium protrusions of the radiator core are bent to the plastic lid during the crimping process.

BASIC CHARACTERISTICS
The crimping machine is used to make a rigid connection (crimping) of the plastic lids to the radiator core. The device has been manufactured universally to allow adjustment for different types of coolers with the help of interchangeable tools. Since handling of the coolers for trucks is not easy, the crimping machine includes a special manipulator for lifting these large and heavy coolers, which is operated by the machine operator himself. A steel walking platform is built around the machine for service purposes.

DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKING CYCLE:
The actual work process in automatic mode includes the following basic operations:
• The operator uses the manipulator to place the cooler on the end stop of the insertion mechanism.
• The gripper clamps the heat sink.
• The operator steps out of the gripper and the cooler is pulled into the machine on the adjustable end stop.
The machine can operate in three modes:
1. Manual mode (for control of individual machine elements) – this mode is for designated persons only
2. Automatic mode (for the operator)
3. Stepping mode (for maintenance to detect faults)
